- Account information: Email address and password (hashed) when you register
- Payment data: Transaction amounts and references via Paystack — we never store your card details
- Usage data: Numbers purchased, services used, countries selected
- Bank details: Account number and bank name when you request a withdrawal (used only to process the transfer)
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the Textcodes service
- To process payments and withdrawals
- To send transaction notifications and support responses
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- To improve our platform
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data only with:
- Paystack — to process payments and transfers
- 5sim.net — to fulfill virtual number orders (no personal data shared, only order requests)
- Supabase — our database and authentication provider
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data as long as your account is active. Transaction records are kept for a minimum of 7 years for financial compliance. You may request deletion of your account at any time from Settings.
5. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, row-level security on our database, and two-factor authentication options. However, no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights (NDPR)
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Withdraw consent at any time
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies only — for authentication sessions. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
